I got a New Yorker subscription for my birthday. Saturday, Max grabbed a copy and cozied up next to me to talk about the cartoons. We spent quite a while paging through the magazine and talking about what the people would say. Some of his thoughts were almost as funny as the actual captions - though lacking in NYers signature dryness, they had a certain 'THAT would be a funny thing to say' going for them.
I remember reading the cartoons in the New Yorker for years before I ever looked at a real article. Warms my heart to see him doing it too. Also cracks me up to imagine him saying to Nana 'I read an interesting article in The New Yorker this week....'
