Max came outside to play, decided to play fire truck, and declared he needed his gear. We said he could go get it for himself if he remembered to shut the door when he went inside. He disappeared for about 5 minutes, then emerged with the jacket, hat, boots, AND my camera (with the intention of it serving as his oxygen mask). We compromised on using the camera for photos and the collar of his jacket as the oxygen mask.
When we were walking to the restaurant at dinner, he still had on the boots and jacket. Some kids behind him said 'look at the fireman.' Max puffed up like a peacock!
