Dad only has staff access to the Capitol for another month, so we decided to go exploring in the building again. When Max told us he thought it was boring inside, we told him he'd be excited about it some day and he said that he liked being there in that case.
Max was able to identify the story in most of the pictures hanging in the rotunda. He even corrected me on where George Washington was in one of the paintings.
We also paused for photos on the steps that the president-elect comes down on Inauguration Day.
Then the boys checked out the War of 1812 exhibit in the museum while Evelyn and I enjoyed goldfish and milk in the Capitol restaurant.
